Rating: R Mark (Kyle Allen) is your typical teenager trying to figure life out, except that he seems to be the only one aware that he’s living the same day over and over again — he argues with his dad over his future, plays video games with his clueless best friend, and, like Bill Murray’s Phil Connors, learns the routine so well he can do little things like rescue folks from their everyday annoyances. The fish-out-of-water comedy delivered line after line of quotable gems and some unforgettable performances from both Murphy and co-star Arsenio Hall, who, thanks to some amazing makeup (for which it won an Oscar), gave us iconic characters such as Murphy’s Jewish barbershop customer, Saul, and Jheri-curled Sexual Chocolate singer Randy Watson, as well as Hall’s deep-voiced, frisky female clubgoer.
